We have an exciting opportunity for a Road Space Coordinator to be based at our Technical Services Office in Doncaster. You will ensure all operations functions run smoothly in support of our growing teams across the UK.
About the role:
The Streetworks Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful planning and delivery of works by ensuring all street works notices, permit applications, and traffic management requests are submitted accurately and within required timescales. Working in line with NRSWA legislation, local authority permit schemes, and contractual obligations, the position involves close collaboration with operational teams, local authorities, and other stakeholders to maintain compliance and minimise disruption.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to effectively manage competing priorities within a dynamic environment.

- Maintain compliance by ensuring all notices are raised accurately and within prescribed legislative timescales.
- Process permit amendments, extensions, and closures throughout the duration of works.
- Track and manage outstanding permits and notices, ensuring all actions are completed within agreed service levels.
- Liaise with operational teams to obtain progress updates, completion details, and information regarding delays or changes to planned activities.
- Provide guidance and support to delivery teams on permit conditions, restrictions, and compliance requirements.
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, comments, challenges, and requests from Highway Authorities.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities, internal departments, and operational personnel.
- Identify and escalate permit-related issues, compliance concerns, or planning constraints when necessary.
- Work closely with planners, supervisors, and field teams to reduce permit breaches, avoid overruns, and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with NRSWA legislation, permit scheme regulations, client specifications, and company procedures.
- Continually seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and increase service standards.
- Support the accounts function by assisting with permit payment queries and related administrative matters.
