Hatton Traffic Management is a leading provider of temporary traffic management services along our nation’s roads. We install the safety system around highway work sites to keep workers and the public protected. These systems will range anything from portable traffic lights in the city through to lane closures on the motorways.
Hatton has developed from a small family firm in the Northeast of England 40 years ago into a major force across England and Scotland within the highways, rail, and utilities sectors, working closely with our clients, as a key part of their integrated supply chain.
Over the past 8 years particularly, we have grown year on year from a turnover of £5million to £20+million in the coming year. We have won contracts with major Tier 1 contractors (Costain, Skanska, Balfour Beatty etc) as well as long-term frameworks with major utility companies during this period. We have a significant forward-looking order book already in place, and many exciting tender opportunities in the pipeline.
About the role:
We are now looking for a TM Supervisor to join our Amersham Depot on a permanent basis. This is an on-site role in Amersham Depot, 5 days a week, 07:00 – 17:00 hours. The successful candidate will take on the role of supervising a pool of experienced operatives on all levels of contracts and assist in running the depot.
The operational requirements for this role are as follows:
- Assist the Contract Managers with the programming and delivery of works and always ensuring correct level of resources
- Ensure quality systems are followed
- Ensure appropriate labour is allocated to meet the operational requirements
- Supervise and manage work in line with client requirements, budgets, and timelines
- Ensure the workforce understand what is required of them and adequate instruction is given
- Maintain vehicle and assets records
- Undertake site audits
- Documentation control/accurate record keeping of works carried out
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, and suppliers
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety alerts to site personnel
- Ensure all operatives are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the works
- Manage operative performance reviews on an annual basis
- Management of depot facility including QHSE checks
Skills and Experience:
- Key supervisory skills
- Ideally the successful candidate will hold a minimum of Lantra 12D M1/M2 qualification
- Knowledge of Chapter 8
- Full driving licence, with less than 6 points
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Excellent communicator and team worker
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office software
- Adaptability and Flexibility
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol check
